After the ceremonial animal sacrifice has been slaughtered the innards are ripped out and the blow torch is used to remove all the spines from the pigs skin. Butchering will then commence and the meat will be cooked for all guests at the ceremony. This happens live on site while other guests continue to enjoy the feast day festival. Barbecue Pig and Buffalo are frequently on the menu at such ceremonies as they are the sacrificial animals that are commonly used at such events. Ceremonies in Toraja are usually undertaken when there is a Funeral (Rambu Solok) Wedding (Rambu Tuka) or a new house build.
