Unique boats, water and floating villages with houses on stilts are a common sight in Indonesian Borneo. On the worlds third largest island it isn’t just about tropical rainforest, flora, fauna, and ethnic minorities in the form of the Dayak Community. At every turn one can see a wide variety of boats many of which are traditional hardwood types. This image a typical scene from this maritime island which has unique boats aplenty on the coast at Balikpapan which is particularly famous for being the Oil City of Kalimantan.
