Stock Photo Description
Stock photo of an abundance of Golden Buddha Statues at the world famous Pindaya Caves in Myanmar (Burma). Golden Buddha Statues litter the interior of the caves and can be found amongst the stalactites and stalagmites, a unique spiritual abode for these golden colored figurines adored by Buddhist pilgrims and local and international tourists alike. Pindaya Caves are a tourist attraction located on a limestone ridge in the Myelat region of Myanmar. Some of the older Golden Buddha Statues date back as far as the late 18th century. The Buddha statues themselves are unusual because the representations are not to be found anywhere else in Myanmar with this style, quite different from the typical Buddha statues of later times.
