Stock Photo Description
Long Exposure stock photo of Religious Buildings and the Samarinda Islamic Center of East Kalimantan in Indonesian Borneo. A stunning example of modern mosque architecture built in the year 2008 and located on the banks of the Mahakam River allowing it to be seen for miles around. It is a huge Mosque and one of the largest religious buildings in Southeast Asia after Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta. The Masjid Islamic Center Samarinda also known as Masjid Baitul Muttaqin covers an area of land measuring around 50 thousand square metres! Making it one of the largest religious buildings in the form of a Mosque in the whole of Southeast Asia but this is hardly surprising due to the huge Muslim population in Indonesia.
