Stock photo of Colourful Bali beach awash with colour and religious happenings during the once a year Melasti ceremony in Bali. A vibrantly colourful affair that the Indonesian Hindu’s take part in annually just before the Balinese New Year which see’s crowds of Balinese men, women and children in unison heading down to the nearest water source to pay homage to the Gods with flags, banners and parasols which creates a beautiful and colourful Bali beach ceremony at Padang Galak beach which is one of the more popular spots for this unique Bali event. Effigies or God-like statues are also taken to the waterfront during this Holy time which usually occurs 3 days before Nyepi which is the Balinese New Year!
