The Annapurna range is home to some of the highest peaks in the world such as the Annapurna’s themselves, Dhaulagiri and the famous naturally sculptured Machhapuchhre or Fishtail peak.
The Annapurna Circuit is a trek within the Annapurna mountain range of central Nepal and people trekkers use Pokhara as a base therefore Phewa Lake is to be seen before and after the trek if one wishes. The total length of the route varies between 160–230 km and takes 2-3 weeks to complete. Trekking through different valleys and a variety of landscapes as one proceeds to Thorong La a mountain pass which has an altitude of 5,416 m!
