Stock Photo Description
Macro shot of a Whip Scorpion or Vinegaroon (also spelt Vinegarones or Vinegarroons) of the Thelyphonida Order of insects. The Whip Scorpion is of the class Arachnida and due to its resemblance to a true Scorpion with its whiplike tail has been given its common name. These Vinegaroons normally range in size from 25 to 85mm in length and can be slightly dangerous to people with certain allergies as they can deliver a mild sting of Formic Acid which for most people will only cause a common rash and itching sensation.
