Grevilles Bolete is also known as the Larch Bolete because it is often found in mixed forests growing at the foot of Larch trees, it is noticeable due to its wet mushroom cap which has a mucous slime layer and thick spongy underside gills. Removing this slimy cuticle makes this an edible food, a wild food which can be found during a fungal forage.
